Maghihintay Pa Rin’s pilot episode rates high

MANILA, Philippines - GMA Network’s newest Afternoon Prime drama Maghihintay Pa Rin dominated its timeslot with high TV ratings during its pilot episode, according to widely recognized TV ratings data supplier Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

Based on overnight household data recorded in National Urban Philippines for June 10, Maghihintay Pa Rin (MPR) scored a 9.3 percent household rating. In Urban Luzon, it scored a 10.7 percent household rating while in Mega Manila, MPR posted a 11.7 percent household rating.

This week, things have started to get hard for Kiko Sabastian (Rafael Rosell) after his father, who works as a seaman under the De Villa Maritime Corporation and Manning Agency, died due to an explosion on the ship. Worried about his father, Kiko tries to ask some help from the agency. Instead of providing a solution, the owner of the agency, Rio (Ayen Munji-Laurel), treats Kiko unfairly and even tries to cover up the incident to protect her company.

Meanwhile, Geneva (Bianca King) feels devastated about what happened to Kiko’s father. Despite her mother’s refusal, Geneva eagerly helps and tries to explain things to Kiko. Is this the start of a good relationship between Kiko and Geneva? Will Kiko be able to face Geneva after what happened to his father?

Maghihintay Pa Rin airs weekdays after Mga Basang Sisiw.
