RRJ ties up with Ms. Earth Philippines

MANILA, Philippines - Rough Rider Jeans or RRJ is now working hand in hand with Miss Earth Philippines to further celebrate the Filipina beauty through its modern street wear fashion.

RRJ’s first tie-up with Miss Earth began in 2002 and since then the brand has been supporting the Filipina beauty through local pageants such as Ms. Kadayawan (Davao), Ms. Magic (Pangasinan), Mr. and Ms. Jaycee International (an elite competition involving foreign exchange students from Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University etc.) to name a few.

In the ’80s, RRJ was recognized as a major brand that introduced freedom of expression and teen independence. Then, in the ’90s till early 2000, RRJ was shaped by music and adopted street culture and style — identified as a “free willing style” — meaning no strict rules and is always changing.

Last May 8, the casual wear brand awarded one of the Miss Earth Philippines beauties the title of Ms. RRJ. Exemplifying youthfulness and the right attitude in carrying her casual wear, Kim Suiza of Nagcarlan, Laguna was declared the winner among 47 other beauties.

Ms. Earth Philippines 2013 coronation night was held last Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena. Also watch out for the next big thing from RRJ when it will reveal its new campaign for the year 2013 to 2014, The RRJ Culture.
