MANILA, Philippines - The future is indeed full of amazing possibilities, especially for the up-and-coming directors who bagged the top spots in the recently-concluded C2 Green Tea Sarap ng Bukas Music Video-Making Contest. The awarding was held at the Xin Tian Di, Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Krizelle Ching of Cainta, Rizal bested hundreds of entries and took home the grand winner title and the cash prize of P150,000. Other big winners were Gharawi Usman of Manila, who was first runner-up and won P100,000, while Chloe Veloso of Cebu was second runner-up and received P50,000.

Seven other finalists whose videos were scored by a panel of judges in terms of creative execution, technical execution and depiction of the Sarap ng Bukas theme received P10,000 each. This included Patrick Jason Bayani, Paul Julius Sy, Lorenz Roi Morales, Geriza dela Cruz, Jose Ma. Antonio Gonzales, Romulo Domagas and Annabele Jane Masculino. The winners also received special gift packs from C2 Green Tea.

This year, C2 also spiced things up by awarding Jeanmehwah Dagum of Caloocan City the Fan’s Choice Award, having the video entry with the most number of online votes. She took home P20,000.

“My friends and I are thrilled, and honored to be this year’s grand prize winner. I hope that our video inspires everyone to believe C2’s message that there is always hope for a brighter and better tomorrow,” said Ching.

C2 launched the music video competition in December, 2012, celebrating creativity, music and the bright future that awaits young talents.

“Promoting a cool and clean lifestyle among the youth has always been our goal,” said VP and GM for URC Beverage Division Edwin Totanes. “Through the Sarap ng Bukas music video competition, we wish to encourage our young talents to always take care of their body, mind and spirit today, so they can have the refreshing drive to go after what they want in life,” he added.
