DZMM Most Development-Oriented

MANILA, Philippines - DZMM opened 2013 on a high note by topping all AM radio stations in the most recent radio audience listenership survey and bagging four awards at the recently-concluded UPLB Gandingan Awards, including the Best AM Station award.

The Gandingan Awards, which recognize programs and personalities dedicated to tackling development-oriented issues, also named Ted Failon as Best AM Announcer, Radyo Negosyo as the Most Development-Oriented AM Program, and its anchor Carl Balita as the Gandingan ng Kabuhayan.

DZMM also reigned in the ratings game when it registered a 33.3 percent audience share in Mega Manila in December 2012, based on the latest data from Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement. It enjoyed a six- point lead over rival DZBB’s 27.1 percent.

DZMM introduces a bolder and more information-packed morning block (from 4 a.m. to 12 noon) to fortify its role as the source of relevant news and public service that caters to each Filipino’s needs.

Start your day right with Gising Pilipinas at 4 a.m., where DZMM Traffic Angels Raki, Tina and Bea load up the first few minutes with traffic updates from different parts of Metro Manila. Anchors Ricky Rosales and Johnson Manabat report the latest news from all over the country.

Dos Por Dos checks in at 5 a.m., with Radyo Patrol reporters making the rounds of the newsstands in the metro and going over the day’s biggest headlines from a variety of newspapers, and DZMM Traffic Angels delivering real-time traffic updates.
