MANILA, Philippines - Admit it: Most of us have this hidden desire to become a star. How many of us, even if it’s just in our imagination, have dreamt at least once of being on TV for millions to admire?
Those who are serious about pursuing that dream of fame now have an easier shot at stardom as Festival Supermall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City is hosting the Road To Fame Talent and Fashion Congress Season 5 until March 9, at the second level Carousel Court where top talent agents look into the aspirants’ singing, acting, modeling and dancing skills. Every P500 worth of merchandise from any Festival Supermall tenant entitles one to a sponsor’s pass which allows them access to the Road to Fame area where three talent agencies per day are ready to cast new talents.
“Road to Fame was established to give those who want a shot at stardom a safe venue to meet with talent agencies. The reality is that there are scams that exploit people who want to become famous or who want to enter the modeling field. With Road to Fame, there’s no need to worry about this as we only invite legitimate talent agencies that have a track record for providing results to acquire projects for the talents they sign up,â€states Don Alonso, one of the managing partners of www.myfameandfortune.com, an online website that connects talents to talent agencies.
This year’s Road to Fame is even more exciting with television director Fritz Ynfante giving aspirants expert tips on how to further improve their singing, acting, dancing and modeling skills.
Direk Fritz divulges that one of the biggest tips he could give, especially to teens and kids trying out for their shot to fame, is to look their age when auditioning. “I see so many kids come and try out and they look like they’re no longer look like teenagers or kids. They dress so mature for their age. Honestly, it’s not appealing.â€
He adds that when facing the talent agencies, an aspirant should be himself. “At the end of the day, we want freshness. We want originality. It’s what separates you from other people auditioning and what will ultimately get you booked.â€
“Hollywood calls it ‘the X-factor’ but I’d rather call it presence. It’s when a person just grips you. Then, we can polish that and refine that, and I think you’d have a huge chance to shine,†Direk Fritz says.
