Hanks, Bennett in Letterman

MANILA, Philippines - Tom Hanks stops by on this episode of the Late Show with David Letterman to talk about his recent film, Cloud Atlas. Based on the novel of the same title, Cloud Atlas is a story that transcends generations. It uncovers how individual lives can impact another life throughout the past, the present and the future with just their actions and the consequences these actions create.

Released last Oct. 26, the film premiered to mixed reviews. But knowing the Oscar-winning Hanks, he’ll just wave this off and move on to create more movies that never fail to inspire. He is currently filming the biopic Saving Mr. Banks where he plays founder of the Disney Company, Walt Disney himself. A fourth installment to the Toy Story franchise is also rumored to be on the works.

Also, the 17-time Grammy-winning singer Tony Bennett (right) also drops by the Letterman set to promote his new album, Viva Duets. The album is a compilation of remakes of Tony’s hit songs recorded with today’s greatest Latin artists such as Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, Thalia, as well as Christina Aguilera. The legendary performer gives an exclusive performance live on the show, so better stay tuned.

Catch the Late Show with David Letterman Tuesdays to Saturdays at 2 to 3 p.m. via Satellite with replays the following day at 1 a.m. on TALKtv; Ch. 16 on SkyCable, Ch. 28 on Destiny and Ch. 21 on Cignal and Ch. 12 on Cable Link.
