MANILA, Philippines - The Village Sports Club (VSC) in Parañaque is fast-becoming the sports and recreation hub for a lot of celebrities, not only because of its prime location but also due to its topnotch facilities. Joining its roster of endorsers are members of the Philippines National Football Team (more popularly known as the Philippine Azkals) Chieffy Caligdong, Misagh Bahadoran and Paolo Pascual.
Chieffy, Azkals co-captain, made headlines in the 2004 Tiger Cup for scoring the goals that won the Philippines its first victory during the ASEAN Football Championship.
Azkals striker Misagh has played football since he was five years old. With a passion kept aflame by his dedication to the sport, the Filipino-Iranian is one of Azkals’ strongest weapons in its arsenal.
Standing at 5’11”, newcomer Paolo towers above most of the men on the field. The goalkeeper is consistently on top of his game.
“We are honored to have these sports heroes gracing our courts and as endorsers of our Sports Club,” said Christine Lane, general manager of VSC. “The Azkals are prime examples of the spirit of sportsmanship that we encourage among all our members.”
