Jonas Brothers to rock Manila, Cebu

MANILA, Philippines - Picking up where they left off in 2010, Jonas Brothers will be performing together for the first time in three years. The band’s first visit to the Philippines is set at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Oct. 19, and at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu on Oct. 20, to be presented by That’s Ntertainment Productions.

After a three-year hiatus, brothers Nick, Joe and Kevin reunite and perform for their Filipino fans in an exciting concert sashaying a string of pop-rock hits as well as the debut some of their new materials from their forthcoming album reported to be released by the end of 2012.

The Jonas Brothers have taken over the hearts and bedroom walls of teenage girls everywhere since its 2007 debut. The trio came up with albums offering sets of catchy pop tunes — including their 2007 single from the movie Meet the Robinsons titled Kids of the Future which was based on the song Kids in America from the English pop singer Kim Wilde. Jonas Brothers also did a remake of the song Year 3000, which was originally by pop-punk band Busted and was the trio’s first single to chart and became its first Top 40 hit.

“JoBros,” as the million of fans of the brothers fondly call them, also released its original pop radio hits like Hold On, as the band’s first single from its self-titled second album in 2007. The iTunes Store named the single as No. 3 on its “Best of the Store” Playlist in 2007. Another hit song SOS rose to No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the band’s first single to reach the Top 20.

The song When You Look Me in the Eyes also consolidated the Jonas Brothers’ success, becoming the group’s power ballad. Burning Up, on the other hand, cemented the brothers as one of the hottest commodities in the pop music biz as the single became a hit via digital downloads and the first Top 5 single in the US. It is the highest-charting Jonas Brothers song to date.

During the brothers’ respite from the stage and touring for three years, Nick, Joe and Kevin have individually enjoyed successful careers. Joe launched his solo career and is now a judge on the new CW music competition The Next, alongside Nelly, Gloria Estefan and John Rich. Joe was also one of the bachelors looking for love on Fox celebrity dating show The Choice. Kevin and his wife Danielle are starring in the aptly-titled E! reality series Married to Jonas. Nick, the youngest among the three, stepped into the shoes of J. Pierrepont Finch in Broadway’s How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.

The band has released a total of four bouncy, breezy pop-rock album albums that have sold over eight million copies worldwide in the albums It’s About Time, Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer, and Lines, Vines and Trying Times. In 2008, the group won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards.
