MANILA, Philippines - She has come a long way ever since she emerged runner-up in Eat Bulaga’s Little Miss Philippines contest. As a talented and charming child star, Aiza Seguerra endeared herself to millions of televiewers via Eat Bulaga, now the country’s longest-running noontime variety show, and in Okay Ka Fairy Ko, where she played Vic Sotto’s daughter.
With more 30 movies and 10 award-winning albums (her first being the five-time Platinum awardee Pagdating Ng Panahon and the latest Perhaps Love which was also released in Singapore, to her credit, the former child star has become one of the country’s most respected acoustic singer-songwriters. Only 28, Aiza has shared with us 25 years of musical and artistic craftsmanship.
And she wishes gratitude to her fans and supporters through Beinte Singko: Aiza Seguerra Anniversary Concert, a production of MediaNation, Blackbird Music Creations and That’s Ntertainment Productions.
To be held tomorrow, Sept. 28, at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, the concert also features the enduring Zany Trio Tito, Vic and Joey; Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano; and Concert King Martin Nievera. Fellow ASAP Sessionistas Juris Fernandez, Richard Poon, Princess and Nyoy Volante will also perform. Completing her guest performers are Gloc 9, Bayang Barrios and Cooky Chua.
Special guest is Krizza Neri, grand winner of GMA 7’s Protégé: The Battle for the Big Artista Break and who was mentored by Aiza. The CompanY will also serenade the audience with its hit songs including Pakisabi Na Lang which Aiza popularized.
The ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under Gerard Salonga as conductor will provide musical depth to the evening. Mike Villegas and Ria Osorio will be the musical directors.
