Congratulations to Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo for a successful concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
Sarah had as special guests pillars in the music industry like Basil Valdez, Jon Santos, Bamboo and The CompanY. Also present were Anja Aguilar, Sam Concepcion and Sarah’s daddy Delfin who sang a duet with her.
“Medyo kinabahan ako. Pero pag kasama ko si Sarah nawawala ang kaba ko,” he said.
“Daddy Delfin loves music. Kaya hindi naman siya nagdalawang-isip na mag-guest,” Sarah enthused.
Sarah filled the Araneta Coliseum to the rafters. “Siempre para akong high, the natural high. Sobra ’yung joy na umaapaw, ’yung happiness. My friends from showbiz, my family, pinakamagandang regalo ko na naman na matatanggap for my 24th birthday,” Sarah said.
Also at the concert to provide support to Sarah were Erik Santos, John Lloyd Cruz, Maja Salvador and Rachelle Ann Go.
What really, really made the crowd roar was the presence of Gerald Anderson. While singing It Might Be You, Sarah descended to the audience where Gerald was. Gerald and Sarah held hands to the delight of the crowd.
Sarah will have a repeat of the concert 24/SG on July 21, her birthday. Will she be doing a duet with rumored boyfriend Gerald? “Sana, sana,” she said.
Will she be requesting him to sing with her? “Why not? Mabait naman ’yung tao.”
Kathryn, Daniel: M.U.?
It is likely that Daniel Padilla is the next big star. A natural crowd pleaser in his public appearances, Daniel always has the audience putty in his hands. Everybody wants to have a piece of this boy. Girls swoon over the budding young actor. And so very much like his superstar uncle Robin Padilla, Daniel has that magnetic charm. But one girl has captured Daniel’s heart. She is Kathryn Bernardo, who admittedly has been an inspiration to Daniel. The Buzz had an interview with Kathryn about her special friendship with Daniel.
“The first time I saw Daniel was in Showtime when I guested with Julia Montes. And I think he was also a guest of the show. Daniel and I didn’t exchange hellos. Hindi kami nag-usap doon. Then we met again at the audition of Growing Up. We started talking. Nawala na ang ilangan,” recalled Kathryn.
Initially, she thought of him as “mayabang.” “Lahat tayo ’yun ang impression sa kanya, mayabang na playboy.” But when she got to talk to him more, Kathryn realized that the first impression she had of Daniel was wrong. “Super bait. Super gentleman at ’pag kasama mo siya, siguradong aalagaan ka niya. He is very caring and trustworthy.”
Kathryn said that she does not trust people easily but with Daniel, “Kahit anong sabihin mo, alam mo na safe yun.”
She is also fully convinced that Daniel is sincere. “Alam ng mga tao kung gaano kabait si Daniel at gaano kaalaga sa akin. He does not hide his feelings at alam mo na pinapahalagahan ka niya at special ka sa kanya.”
Recently, Kathryn received two puppies from Daniel. “I am flattered,” she said.
She also cannot forget the Gandang Gabi Vice episode where Daniel sang a song for her. “That was so unexpected at di ko makakalimutan.”
“Kinikilig ako,” she admitted each time she sees that Padilla look. “The smile, the eyes, basta there is something in him that other boys don’t have. Malakas ang dating niya.”
As of the moment, Kathryn likes him as a friend. “Siguro sa akin special friend si Daniel. Hindi ko alam kung M.U. (mutual understanding) ang tawag doon but he is a special friend.”
4th Grey Goose Invitational
And from Sunny Ku, some good news. It was a most auspicious day as Manila Society’s finest trooped to the splendid Sta. Elena Golf Club for the fourth Grey Goose Invitational.
Among those who took part in the tourney were Willy Tee Ten of Mini Cooper, Louie Ysmael, Vice Gov. Mark Leviste, Rep. JV Ejercito, Anton Palanca, Prive’s GP Reyes, Chef Carlo Miguel, Fred Perry managing director Felix Chung and Singapore Airlines’ GM Andrew Budiman.
An annual event, this year’s Grey Goose Invitational added a new dimension with competing players forming their own teams to add that extra mix of challenge. Grey Goose is a natural fit with the sport, as the brand’s image fires up the competitive spirit and kindles the passion for the gentleman’s sport.
“Grey Goose is one of the finest crafted vodka that originates from Cognac, France, home to the world’s most respected experts in spirit making. Grey Goose vodka benefits from the region’s rich tradition. Made from the finest French wheat, the same wheat used to create delicious French pastries, and employs an exclusive five-step distillation process to concentrate its exceptional flavor. Pure spring water naturally filtered through Champagne limestone is then blended with the spirit. Grey Goose vodka is lush, smooth and rounded and melts in the mouth with a long-lasting, satisfying finish,” said Bobby Campos, Grey Goose Philippine commercial manager.
