Arimunding-Munding launched radio queen Carmen Rosales to big-screen stardom in 1939. The movie, drama-musical, highlighted Carmen’s beautiful singing voice.
After 20 years, a picture of the same title, but with a different story, was produced by Larry Santiago, starring Jaime dela Rosa, Cecilia Lopez, Carlos Mauri and Yolanda Guevarra.
Like the original Arimunding-Munding, the 1959 version was drama-musical, billed ‘A story so great it defies human ends and heavenly bounds!’
Carlos and Yolanda provided the music (by Constancio de Guzman) and Jaime and Cecilia the drama (story by Susana de Guzman, script by Felix Villar). Directed by Pablo Santiago. — RKC
