MANILA, Philippines - The UP Home Economics Alumni Association reinforces its commitment to the millennium development goals for Global Competiveness in services, products, skills and talents.
The UPHEAA hosts Damayan! Streaming the UPHE Alumni tomorrow, Sept. 28, at the Philippine Trade and Training Center in Pasay City.
There will be a hands-on seminar for Home Economics teachers to be facilitated by UPHE Alumni professionals from different fields of expertise. The seminar will focus on producing graduates that will effect in the advancement and development of leaders in the sampling, design and sourcing trade.
A benefit gala fashion show for its scholarship funds will be presented in the evening that will showcase a variety of design disciplines in the field of fashion. The show will feature collections from designers Jun Jun Ablaza, Eerie Angeles, Tracy Dizon, Jan Garcia, Jojie Lloren, Lito Perez, Pidge Reyes and Michelle Sison who are all alumni of UPHE. Another highlight is the musical performance of the multi-awarded UP Singing Ambassadors under the baton of Ed Manguiat.
