Is Albie Casiño really the father of Andi Eigenmann’s unborn child? The young actor has not admitted nor denied that he is the father. However, Andi made impressions that it’s Albie’s child that she is carrying. In her blog entry a week ago, Andi wrote: “Maybe instead of feeling bad that Albie left me to take on this responsibility by myself, I should thank him for giving me the opportunity to go on and find genuine happiness once again.” The day after she wrote her blog, Andi erased Albie’s name and changed it to Baby Daddy.
Andi also tried to be positive about her and Albie. “I’d obviously love for him to be around eventually. You know to save myself the struggle to find a good way to explain his absence to his child. All I hope is that he is well.”
Albie who is working on a new movie, Aswang, refused to comment on Andi’s blog. What he has in mind is to go back to school and continue with his studies. “I really want to go back to school. I am still weighing what course to take. I would love Psychology.”
Does it mean that if he goes back to school he will leave showbiz for good? “Maybe. Pero hindi ko talaga alam e. Ayoko ng may ginagawa ako na hilaw. Gusto ko pag may ginagawa ako naka-concentrate ako. Ayaw ko ng hinahati ang focus ko. Saka parang lackluster in both performances.”
Does he regret being in showbiz? “Hindi. Eto yong pinasok ko. Para sa akin, useless ’yung sana-sana. We can not do anything about what happened. Iniisip ko na lang paano maayos ito.”
Well, there are things that cannot be undone. And it takes a lot of courage, humility and wisdom to accept them.
Luis & Jen: We inspire each other
Why was hot couple Luis Manzano and Jennylyn Mercado absent from the Star Magic Ball? Wags said that Luis and ladylove, Jen, had a big quarrel. The pair was obviously missed that magical night.
“I really did not attend. I was supposed to go with Jen. We were invited but we decided not to go. Jen and I were together that night. But we had pressing matters to do that night. Pero hindi po kami nag-away,” explained Luis.
His relationship with Jennylyn is going strong, Luis added. “Milya-milya ang layo sa MU (mutual understanding). But the formality that she is my girlfriend or I’m her boyfriend, wala pa naman. But we are very much open to what ever is happening between us. I don’t really need to explain or satisfy a bunch of people. I would like to think that we serve as an inspiration to each other.”
Luis also hinted at going into politics in the future. Maybe, as a mayor of Batangas. “Last election, somebody already invited me to run for that position. But it has to happen at the right time. I don’t want to move based on what my family does. My family will always serve as an inspiration. All of us have responsibilities. Maybe politics is one venue where I can give back. I am not closing my doors on politics.”
Joseph thankful for second life
Joseph Bitangcol is happy to have survived the car accident that almost killed him. “Noong dumating ’yung moment, akala ko talaga tapos na eh. Parang ang dating sa akin nakita ko na ang kabilang buhay. I am very thankful to God for giving me a second life.”
He has undergone surgeries on his face and in other parts of his body. Joseph’s face was inserted with a titanium plate. “Nilagyan ng titanium plate para ma-connect yong mga buto buto. Namamaga pa rin pero in a month’s time babalik naman daw po sa normal.”
Joseph is also thankful to all the people who have helped him. “Nagulat po ako sa dami ng suporta. Salamat din po sa mga dasal.”
Melissa as a friend and sister
One wonders how Melissa Ricks is as a person. Melissa has been tightlipped on her personal affairs. Not even when she and Jake Cuenca broke up. Melissa stars in the new teleserye Nasaan si Elisa? on ABS-CBN.
Just how is she as a friend and a sister?
Here’s what they say of her:
“When I am so stressed with my studies, I call her even when she is busy with tapings. I would cry and she would listen. Then she would come to see me,” said Geraldine Alvarez, Melissa’s best friend.
“What people don’t know is, our bond as a family is super strong. We might be in the States while she in the Philippines but we are very close to each other,” said Jason Ricks, Melissa’s brother.
