MANILA, Philippines - Vic Sotto has been tapped by Nokia as the face of its new Dual SIM phones, the Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00.
Vic, also known as Bossing in showbiz circles, was presented to the media during the launch of the two new handsets which was hosted by Ruby Rodriguez and stand-up comedian Petite. The launch was doubly fun and exciting, with games and loads of prizes for all the guests that fittingly celebrated the unveiling of Nokia’s latest affordable mobile phones.
“Bossing epitomizes our new Dual SIM phones because of his huge following; he is easy to relate to, and very accommodating. He’s the perfect celebrity to complement our new mobile phones which are designed to deliver great fun and value for money while offering the most convenient and intuitive Dual SIM experience for mobile phone users,” said Aveline Siy, Nokia Philippines’ head of marketing.
The Nokia X1-01 and C2-00 are both packed with rich features for switching between SIM cards not available in current Dual SIM products in the market. Both models pack more memory, better battery life and offer the unique capability of storing settings for up to five separate SIM cards that can each be personalized with a dedicated name as well as preferred call, SMS or data settings.
For the launch of the new Dual SIM models, Nokia held Eat Bulaga-inspired games like Pinoy Henyo and SIM Hakot Challenge. The final game, the SIM Card Rain Game, had guests scouring for the winning SIM cards that allowed the lucky ones to go home with new Nokia handsets.
To formally unveil the new Dual SIM mobile phones to the public, the Nokia games will also be held soon in Eat Bulaga, where more prizes and new Nokia handsets will be given away to studio audiences.
Bossing Vic is also featured in the new TVC campaign of Nokia Dual SIM phones. Just like Bossing, get the ultimate Dual SIM experience with the Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00.
