MANILA, Philippines - The officers of UP Open University Alumni Foundation, Inc. (UPOUAFI) had their first board meeting last month in Makati City. UPOUAFI president Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri (standing, center) presided the meeting with (seated from left) Michelle Adarlo and Leticia Elegado (members of board of trustees), Dr. Marilyn Reaño (treasurer), Luisa Gelisan (secretary), Dina Imatong (VP); (standing from left) Jerry Donato (PRO), Richard Gomez (member of board of trustees), Dr. Primo Garcia (UPOU information office director) and Anna Cañas (information officer). The alumni association will help the university provide deserving students scholarships and will participate in the development of new courses and programs. UPOUAFI also participated in the recently-held UPAA alumni homecoming in UP Diliman where Vice Pres. Jejomar Binay was honored as Most Distinguished Alumnus. Binay is a graduate of UPOU and chair of UPOUAFI.
