MANILA, Philippines - Talent5’s Ritz Azul (photo) made an impact when she was tapped to topbill TV5’s Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak, and she has an award to prove it — Yahoo OMG’s Female Amazing Newcomer. The awarding was made last June 21 at the Republiq Bar in Resorts World.
Supporting Ritz in the momentous event were her TV5 and Talent5 families represented by Perci Intalan and Audie Gemora, respectively.
“I am very proud of Ritz,” said Audie. “This lady (Ritz) will go a long, long way pa. This award is very inspiring not just to Ritz, but also to the whole Talent5 and TV5 family.”
Ritz bested talents from rival networks by topping the online poll in the category.
Meanwhile, Christian Bautista won the Coolest Male Singer Award.
Christian, who is now in Singapore taping for The Kitchen Musical, said this in his acceptance video, “even though I am here (in Singapore), I can feel your love. Thank you very much.”
