MANILA, Philippines - Frencheska Farr’s (photo) Isama Mo Ako is the much-awaited follow-up to her debut album’s carrier single Today I’ll See The Sun. It’s the theme bound to be heard as a love theme for Richard Gutierrez’s Captain Barbell.
The song, with its infectious melody and beautifully crafted lyrics, deserves a music video. Director Milos Curameng was tapped to produce its corresponding short film shot at the historic Manila Hotel where many legendary figures here and abroad had been billetted throughout its long stretch of service.
The video will be aired through music channels including MYX which has given Pinoy music fans many hits. Critics have agreed the love song and its video are a recipe for pop classic.
Taken from Frencheska’s first full-length solo album called Inside My Heart, Isama Mo Ako is an instant big cut right on the album’s first run-through. Prior to Today I’ll See the Sun, two songs from the album have already been used as theme songs for GMA programs. One is Everytime, serving as an appropriate tune for Tween Hearts. The other is her cover of the past radio hit, Ang Pag-ibig Kong Ito which blends well to the storyline of the hit Koreanovela Temptation of Wife.
A second Vehnee Saturno composition Sa Pangarap Ko is being used as theme for Alakdana. Then, Suddenly It’s Magic is being heard as background song for the box-office hit My Valentine Girls which stars Kapuso stars opposite Captain Barbell star himself.
Inside My Heart produced by GMA Records is one of the year’s most widely recognized albums as noted through its several tracks enjoying heavy airplays. Isama Mo Ako is touted as icing on the cake for what is valued as a loaded and lovable set of recordings done by one of local music scene’s brightest stars today.
