MANILA, Philippines - As Baguio City celebrates its Panagbenga Festival, a month-long revelry honoring the beautiful flowers of the luscious city, Kapuso stars recently traveled up north adding star-power and excitement to the colorful festivity.
At a jam-packed mall show held at the SM City Baguio, spectators from Baguio and nearby provinces gathered to catch a glimpse of their Kapuso celebrities.
Unmindful of the biting cold, the audience was ecstatic as one by one, the stars of I Heart U Pare, Nita Negrita and Machete regaled them with their production numbers.
The hilarious trio of gay impersonators from I Heart U Pare delighted the audience as they took turns in entertaining them. Kevin Santos serenaded the ladies with his rendition of When You Say Nothing At All and Harana.
Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio and Lexi Fernandez came next and delivered solo numbers.
“Walang nagbago. Ang dami pa ring tao at sobrang saya pa rin!”, said Barbie comparing this year’s turnout to last year.
The crowd was thrilled as the tween stars each went down the stage and posed with their fans.
Also present were Bela Padilla and Ryza Cenon. Bela, who plays the dual role of Aginaya and Rosella, grooved to the beat of Waka Waka and also sang Bubbly with two Baguio locals eliciting cheers from the audience. Ryza, who stars as the feisty Marla, on the other hand, gave an energetic number as she sang and danced to I’m Real with the Abztract Dancers.
Aljur Abrenica titillated the audience with his rendition of I’ll Be. For the Machete star who returns to Baguio for the second time around, the crowd was more excited to see him.
The program ended with the Kapuso stars thanking their fans.
