MANILA, Philippines – In the run-up to Nestlé Philippines’ centennial in 2011, director of Communications Sandra Puno announced that the company has selected nine directors who will make short films celebrating its 100 years of presence in the country.
Citing their world-class credentials, Puno announced the film directors as follows: A/F Benaza, Carlo Directo, Henry Frejas, Raul Jarolan, Sid Maderazo, Stephen Ngo, Jun Reyes, Chris Martinez and Jeorge Agcaoili. They were chosen from a roster of directors who have helmed TV commercials for Nestlé and who pitched their film concepts to the company.
“We envisage the films as an opportunity to reflect upon the values that have made Nestlé’s brands such an integral part of everyday Filipino life for the last 100 years. At the same time we look to the future and our mission to continue providing Filipinos with healthy, nutritious, tasty, and high-quality, Philippine-made products,” Nestlé CEO John Miller said.
The Nestlé short films will be shown and aired locally at various occasions during the company’s centennial celebration this year.
“We are very excited about the films which we are working on with the Publicis team headed by Matec Villanueva and Jayel Ladioray. We hope the films will be a meaningful way to engage consumers, because the centennial celebration is really all about them,” said Nestlé Philippines Creative Services Head Leslie Go-Alcantara.
