Star Power girls ready for Christmas showdown

MANILA, Philippines - The remaining Star Power contenders are now ready for an exciting Yuletide showdown. Inspired by the spirit of Christmas, they will give their best to move forward and to get closer to their dream title, Sharon’s Next Female Pop Superstar.

Tonight, the girls sing for a cause. But before they can belt it out, they must face University of the Philippines music professor Kitchie Molina for a more intense vocal training — proper use of voice, correct execution of their songs and voice modulations.

“It will be an honor to be mentored by acclaimed music teacher Kitchie Molina. I’m nervous yet excited for right vocal techniques that she’ll be imparting with us,” said Canada-based K-La Rivera.

Discussing the significance of social responsibility, KC Concepcion also gives her pieces of advice to the aspirants.

Also to be featured is the girls’ “mega” celebrations with Sharon Cuneta. The contenders will grace the historic lighting of the Araneta Center Christmas tree.

Also catch the girls sing with Aiza Seguerra, Jed Madela and Princess Velasco.

Last week, Macy and Laurice bid goodbye. Who will be next? Who will remain?

Akiko Solon of Cebu, Ninay Lescano (Lipa City), Kaye Racho (Cebu), K-La Rivera (Canada), Angeline Quinto (Manila), Krissel Valdez (Davao) and Monica Sacay (Leyte), who among them will be hailed as the next female pop superstar?
