Hutik: Folklore goes urban

MANILA, Philippines - Hutik (an Ilonggo term meaning whisper), a dance-theater production, is until tomorrow, Dec. 17 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the School of Design and Arts Theatre, De La Salle — College of St. Benilde.

Tales from Antique and Iloilo were combined to create a unique and one-of-a-kind story in the form of contemporary dance. The story is written by Tim Cabrera, Dana Labitoria and Janine Aristola, students of the Performing Arts program, majoring in Dance, and also performers of Ballet Philippines. It is through their creative minds that the choreography and story were created. The characters will be danced and portrayed by dancers from Ballet Philippines, under the supervision of Christine Crame, chairperson of the Performing Arts program.

Tickets are priced at P150, P180, P200 and P250.
