MANILA, Philippines - Galileo Enrichment Learning Program is conducting a two-day conference for parents, educators and teachers titled Giving Children The Winning Edge today and tomorrow, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at SGV Hall, AIM Conference Center in Makati.
A child development program conceived and instituted by Galileo Enrichment Learning Program will be participated in by well-known authorities in child development and learning. They will reveal what right attitude and educational patterns relate to a particular age bracket in the child’s growth and improvement. The speakers are:
Ma. Rowena Matti, on Providing the Winning Edge Through Enrichment Programs is CEO of the Galileo Enrichment Learning Program. A graduate of De La Salle University with a degree in BS Psychology and BS Marketing, she took up post-graduate studies in Day Care Administration at the San Francisco University and Master in Entrepreneurship at the Asian Institute of Management.
Efren Peñaflorida Jr. on The Social Consciousness Momentum Starting With One Child is founder of Dynamic Teen Company (DTC), an organization training young children to become responsible, systematic and principled. He is one of the nominees of Global Youth Awards 2008 in the Humanos category and 2009 CNN Hero.
Dr. Queena Lee-Chua on Creating Super Learners, the Next Wave has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU). She teaches for the mathematics and psychology department of ADMU.
Ma. Isabel Sison-Dionisio on Good Study Habits Towards School Success is a marriage and family counselor. She is parenting consultant and columnist for the Metro Working Mom Magazine and Umagang Kay Ganda. She specializes in marriage preparation seminars and counseling, marital and family counseling, parenting consultation and parenting seminars for kids and teens.
Dr. Eduardo Morato Jr. on Empowering a Child’s Mind by Maximizing The Whole Brain is president of ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation, Inc., one of the corporate social responsibility arms of ABS-CBN. He consults for and trains multinational corporations, Philippine public and private enterprises and educational institutions.
Maricar de Ocampo on Predictive Indicators To A Child Success is a sought after consultant in Early Childhood Education. She co authored the book Your Guide to Pre-schools in Metro Manila. She is among the first Filipina graduates of Bank Street College of Education in New York.
