MANILA, Philippines - Ernie Garcia (photo) has come full circle. The performer who started in showbiz as a singer and became an actor and producer is now back into singing. Ernie topbills the dinner show As Time Goes By at Makuhari Restaurant, 1971 Leon Guinto St., Malate on Aug 28. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and show starts 9 p.m.
His guests are Champagne Morales and Paul Zhuang.
Ernie has been winning the top prize in singing contests even as a child. His parents would bring him to parties where he was made to sing.
Even when he was busy doing movies, Ernie made sure he held at least one concert a year. When the bold trend made Ernie leave the country for the US, he continued singing in state after state a year.
As Time Goes By is being held for the benefit of the foundation for street children.
