Tekken star coming to grace movie's preem

MANILA, Philippines - BREAKING NEWS! John Foo, lead actor in the videogame-based Tekken The Movie in which he plays the protagonist Jin Kazama, is coming to grace the movie’s premiere on July 24.

He’s of Irish descent, born Jonathan Patrick Foo on Oct. 30, 1982.

An actor and model, John is a Chinese practitioner of Wushu. He grew up in London and is currently based in Los Angeles.

He has starred in Tom-Yum-Goong (US title: The Protector), Batman Begins, House of Fury, Left for Dead and Life (Shi cha qi xiao shi), and he also does stunts for other actors. 

Directed by Dwight H. Little, Tekken The Movie will soon be released worldwide.

Recently, John starred as Ryu in the short film Street Fighter: Legacy, alongside fellow martial artist Christian Howard who played Ken. The film was co-directed by British actor and martial artist Joey Ansah who also starred as Akuma in the film. John’s other movie is Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2010) in which he plays one of the first-generation soldiers, dying within the first 20 minutes of the film which also stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.

His next assignment is the Thai martial arts-basketball film Fireball Begins which is a prequel to the first film, Fireball.
