MANILA, Philippines - Belinda Adora, the country’s top dancesport bet will give another inspirational talk to SM Hypermarket customers in Mandaluyong City 4 o’ clock this afternoon. The event will showcase her less-fortunate students as a prelude to a major dance concert she is staging this month.
Adora shot to fame in the 2005 Southeast Asian Games here in Manila, when she anchored the country’s sweep of the dancesport gold medals. The Philippines emerged overall champion for the first time in decades during that edition of the biennial meet.
In her open talk to SM Hypermarket shoppers, she will tackle the hardships she had gone through during her early years into the sport and the whirlwind of opportunities dancesport opened to her — especially after grabbing the gold medal in the SEA Games.
