MANILA, Philippines - Star Magic’s Kristel Moreno teams up with Sid Lucero in Pitas. The indie film is Kristel’s launching movie which she considers her most challenging project to date. Kristel shares, “I was nervous and excited when the lead role was offered to me. It’s different from what I have done before. The role is mature and daring. Aside from the cast, the story is interesting so I never had second thoughts of doing Pitas.”
Kristel is also privileged to have worked with Sid as his first onscreen partner in the movie. “He is very professional and a gentleman,” she says of Sid. “He took good care of me on the set. That’s why I was comfortable with my love scene with him.”
Pitas is a about a young girl named Jasmine (Kristel) who falls in love with Rafael (Sid). Their love story faces challenges when Jasmine is raped by her stepfather (Bembol Roco) and more conflicts unfold.
Also in the cast are Francine Prieto and Rio Locsin. Greggy Santos and Enrique Gil are introducing in the movie. Pitas is directed by Joey Romero and produced by Legalas Entertainment.
Pitas premieres on Feb. 26 at Cinema 6, SM North Edsa and opens in theaters on March 3.
