I have no doubt that Melissa Cantiveros (Melai to all of us!) will emerge Big Winner in Pinoy Big Brother Double Up which ends on Feb. 13. Melissa is the life of the party. She is sweet, honest, spontaneous, fun, charming and intelligent. She also has a unique sense of humor. I like watching her on PBB. She’s a natural. She never calculates her moves. She’s hilarious, outrageous and bodacious! Her housemates love her. And Jason (Francisco) is in love with her. Jason has been very vocal about his feelings for Melai. And Melissa, smart girl that she is, is taking her time. Inside PBB and elsewhere in the country, Melissa and Jason have earned the monicker, Melason.
Nights ago, Melissa was in for a big surprise when her boyfriend or (ex-boyfriend Roy) from General Santos made a surprise visit. It was Jason who was tasked with the meet-up between Melai and Roy. “Para malaman ko kung ano sila talaga at ano ang pinagsamahan nila,” said Jason. Earlier, Big Brother challenged Jason to a non-stop walk inside PBB. It was a task good enough, he later learned because he was rewarded with the task of setting up Melai and Roy.
Melai appeared cool when she first saw Roy. There was a hint of excitement in her. But will they be back in each other’s arms? What happens now to Jason?
Well, as the saying goes, two is a company, three is a crowd! So who is in good company? Melissa and Jason or Melissa and Roy? Your guess is as good as mine.
Loveless Diether?
Could it be true Diether Ocampo and girlfriend Rima Ostwani have broken up? Diether has been trying to duck from the issue but TV cameras caught up with him. When asked if he and Rima have broken up, Diether remarked, “I am not married that is why I am single.”
I am sure Rima shares the same opinion. She is also not married, therefore she’s single. Rima is one of the prettiest and brightest girls I have met. She was president of St. Paul Student Council in high school and a member of the Student Council of De La Salle University where she graduated a course in International Relations. Rima does advertising campaigns as a model and VIP clients design officer in Rustans. I look forward to Rima doing a lifestyle show and a newscasting job. She speaks five languages — English, Filipino, Arabic, French and Spanish. What a girl!
Piolo parties in the yacht
Piolo Pascual was simply ecstatic during the grand birthday party ABS-CBN tendered for him last week. The party, held in a yacht docked along the waters of Manila Bay was attended by Piolo’s friends in the industry, fans, supporters and press. It was the first time for Piolo to hold a birthday party in a boat.
Piolo said that he would love to go sailing. He also loves sunsets. “Every day, I wait for sunsets. I really love to be in the water. I want to go sailing. And I want to bring my special someone, whoever she maybe,” he said.
Asked if that special someone is KC Concepcion, Piolo said, “KC loves the water. Mahilig sa nature yon e. Of course I would love to bring her along and she would appreciate it,” he said.
Piolo recently appeared in the love story of Cory and Ninoy Aquino shown in Maalaala Mo Kaya. He played Ninoy while Bea Alonzo played Cory.
How Shaina is mending her broken heart
Nobody knows what caused the break-up of Shaina Magdayao and John Prats. Many speculate a third party is behind it. Shaina has not spoken much about it. John has also kept his silence. Like a smart girl, Shaina philosophizes, “Ganun siguro talaga ang buhay. Nothing is gonna happen to me, if I let my emotions overwhelm me.”
Meantime, Shaina is focusing on work. “I am thankful to God, I have a very strong support system. My family, my friends, they were always there during the darkest moments of my life.”
Shaina admits she and John are talking. “We tried to talk but like all break-ups, it’s never easy. I have high respect for John and his family and I promised that I will never bad mouth him. Whatever problems we had will just be between him and me. I want to save the friendship. I wish he thinks the same way. ‘Yong love and relationship is beyond me. Hindi ko na hawak. Ayoko magsalita ng tapos. Hindi ko alam kung magkakabalikan pa kami or hanggang dito na lang talaga,” she explained.
