Film bigwigs gather at 2009 Solar-UIP Awards

  Sunny Smiles All Around: The country’s top film exhibitors (theater owners) enjoyed a night of kudos and celebration at the recent 2009 Solar-UIP Awards, also known as the 3rd Annual Sunnies. The SM Cinema and SM Supermall groups were the evening’s biggest winners, taking home several awards including Exhibitor of the Year, and SM Mall of Asia’s and SM IMAX Mall of Asia’s Special Recognition Award for Box Office and Admissions Achievements during TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, the Philippines’ biggest film of 2009.
