MANILA, Philippines - Remember that time you first visited the planetarium as a child and how, under a dome that simulates the heavenly skies, you felt you were so close to the stars and other heavenly bodies?
Today, that experience is magnified and made even more memorable, thanks to the DigiStar Planetarium of the Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center at the SM Mall of Asia.
The 15-meter three-dimensional high technology wonder has an all-dome video playback and digital surround sound system that makes your viewing of Science-related film features and the star field even more memorable.
“It’s truly amazing,” says DJ Chloe of Easy Rock, who, along with three other DJs took a trip to the NIDO Fortified Science Discovery Center with their kids.
Her daughter Bianca Cecilia couldn’t agree more. “I really enjoyed the movie,” she says, referring to the featured film that day, Dark Star Adventure.
Dark Star Adventure features Subrah, a mischievous teenage girl who is bored by Science until an impending supernova forces her to explore pulsars, dodge black holes, and harness magnetic fields to search for her father. As she and her robot friend Sweeps explore the galaxy, children would likewise be taken through a journey throughout the cosmos and learn more about the universe.
Other film features are Ice Worlds, Dawn of the Space Age and Cosmic Collissions.
DJ Papa Jack of Love Radio says that he will visit the NIDO Fortified Science Discovery Center again.
“My daughter Khloe really enjoyed watching the movie at the DigiStar Planetarium. She was amazed at the big movie screen and the movie,” he says.
