Still on the lookout for talents

MANILA, Philippines - TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy hosted by Ryan Agoncillo (photo) has become one of the most popular television programs ruling Saturday Primetime since June.

This validates the show’s success. Talentadong Pinoy has discovered and showcased true and authentic Pinoy talent.

Out of 6,000 applicants, hundreds were given opportunities to show what they’ve got in the entertainment arena such as Jessa Mendoza in Lipgloss, Elmo Rodriguez in Kiddie Kwela, Mark Mangaliman “The man with 60 voices” in several TV5 shows, and the Guttierez Acrobatic Family, who has been performing internationally.

Although the show has discovered thousands of talents, it still is on the lookout for more talents to be added to the five outstanding performers in the Talentadong Pinoy Hall of Fame, namely Wanlu the Puppeteer, The Guttierez Acrobatic Family, Joshua The Yoyo Tricker Davis, The Tribal Dancers, and the latest addition Leah Patricio, proving the show worthy of awards including Best Talent Show in the recently held First MTRCB Awards.

In just one year, Talentadong Pinoy has witnessed thousands of astounding Pinoy talent — performances ranging from singers, dancers, musicians and comedians, to contortionists, acrobats, impressionists, toy exhibitionists and magicians from all cities and provinces in the country, to which more than P5-M has been given away and awarded to winning contestants.
