MANILA, Philippines - Polish singer-songwriter Basia (photo) brings to Manila her groove, rhythm and style in her concert titled Basia Live in Manila: It’s That Girl Again on Oct. 21 at the Araneta Coliseum. Basia is the voice behind the hits Half a Minute with the group Matt Bianco, Time and Tide, Cruising for Bruising, New Day for You, Promises, to mention a few. She is famous for her trademark Latin-flavored jazz-pop crossover songs during the late ’80s and early ’90s particularly in the US, the UK, France and Japan.
Basia released top-selling albums like Time and Tide, London Warsaw New York, The Sweetest Illusion, Basia on Broadway (live album) and Clear Horizon — The Best of Basia (compilation). It’s That Girl Again is her latest studio album. It is said that each song is a dedication to someone in her life although her narratives describe characters many can relate to.
