Roots of Nature debut album launched

MANILA, Philippines - It was through its live performances that Roots of Nature clinched the record deal with Sony Music. Recently, the band once again proved that it was deserving of the praise as it launched its self-titled debut album. Music critics and enthusiasts trooped to Route 196 as they listened to the alternative/acoustic sounds of Roots of Nature — raw, intuitive, edgy and unforgiving.

The band members wowed the audience with their playing skills like how Maki Estrella stepped up the beat with his percussions. Jeff Bauin’s funky bass-slapping kept the crowd energized while Ferry Baltazar took the guitars reminiscent of Michael Hedges and lent his vocals to songs from the group’s debut album which includes the new single Di Nakikita and Lipad, which was used for the full-animated movie Dayo.

The album is out in CDs under Sony Music.
