How Lee rocked Boracay

MANILA, Philippines - The second installation of the Lee Make History Tour, a photo-story competition, recently rocked Boracay. Building an interactive mobile gallery/hip club/bar from the ground up, the massive all-white organic structure featured the official photo entries of the Lee Make History campaign. Five main photo stories have already been chosen among the Asia Pacific entries, to be used in magazines and billboards as ad campaigns.

Three entries from the Philippines made it to the Top 5. The compelling images and several others covered the gallery’s wall inside and out. At stake is a grand prize of $40,000.

The first Make History Tour rocked Manila with a concert featuring 15 of the biggest names in rock music. Not to be outdone, the Boracay event upped the ante with the famous sunset as the background, complete with free-flowing drinks and an all-night beach party at the gallery. DJs Anton Ramos, Erwin Edralin and Blake Jarrel gave an impressive performance. On the other hand, Lee, BigFish and HedKandi sponsored a beach party with DJs Andy Norman and Jamie Richards.

Getshot, the infamous party paparazzo, brought in its click-crazy photographers who searched for the coolest cats and the hottest chicks. In step with the Lee Make History campaign, Getshot photos were posted on a live photo wall inside the gallery and uploaded to two outdoor gargantuan LED screens. Literally stopping foot traffic with larger-than-life blow-ups, party photos and portraits flashed like winking bright billboards on Boracay’s mini EDSA.

People whose photos were posted on the live photo wall automatically received prizes. One lucky winner got a Canon G10 camera. Beach towels, Cheeky shorts (mini short shorts) for the ladies and roll-ups (denim bermudas) for men were also given away.

The Lee Make History Tour is still on a roll. Expect the whole lock, stock and smoking barrel to be in your region soon.
