MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN News is taking journalism to the next level with multiple media platforms that guarantee maximum news experience for Pinoys anywhere around the world.
The news organization displayed its might, breadth, and depth in newsgathering during the trade launch held recently at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza, where it showcased the successful expansion of its broadcast news operations from radio (DZMM) to free tv (ABS-CBN, Studio 23) to cable (ANC), Internet (abs-cbnnews.com) and mobile.
“Gone were the days when people could only watch or listen to news, unable to share their thoughts or insights. With new platforms like the Internet and mobile phones, people can immediately react and be part of the discussion — creating collective intelligence. This empowers our people,” she said.
As an example, Ressa cited ABS-CBN News’ advocacy campaign Boto Mo, I-Patrol Mo.
The trade launch also highlighted ABS-CBN’s line-up of current affairs programs like I Survived anchored by Ces Drilon; XXX with Alex Santos, Pinky Webb and Julius Babao; and Gus Abelgas’ SOCO.
Ressa said ABS-CBN News will continue to embrace new ideas and technologies to provide Pinoys here and abroad a news experience like no other.
Pinoys also get to enjoy more of their news experience with videos and forums in different ABS-CBN sites like www.abs-cbn.com and www.abs-cbnnews.com.
