MANILA, Philippines - The latest movie of Rufa Mae Quinto, Status: Single (directed by Jose Javier Reyes), was a winner from the start. It’s the first comedic box-office hit of 2009. Graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB), the film was given a thumbs-up by critics. Now on its second week of screening in Metro Manila theaters, it is co-produced by Rufa Mae’s own On-Q 28 Productions and Viva Films.
