Pinoy balladeers in one concert

Viva Concerts and Events has come up with another winning combination. Hot on the heels of greatest hits of the ‘80s, the Golden Divas and The Legends of opm comes The Great Balladeers.

The show will be held at the Music Museum on Feb. 7, 27 and 28 and will star Jun Polistico, Anthony Castelo and Victor Wood.

Known as the Soulful Heartthrob Polistico had hits like Mahiwaga, Sana’y Maghintay Ang Walang Hanggan, Mahawi Man Ang Ulap, All I Ask of You with Sharon Cuneta, Langis at Tubig and many others. Castelo, who also acted on stage and in films, came up with Balatkayo, Nang Dahil Sa Pag-ibig, Maghihintay Ako Sa ‘yo, Kaibigan, Ibig Kong Ibigin Ka, Hahanapin Ko, Of All The Things and many more. Wood dominated the airlanes in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. He was a big-seller with I’m Sorry My Love, Eternally, Malupit Na Pag-ibig, Cheryl Moana Marie, In Despair and Teen-age Senorita.

Polistico, Castelo and Wood spent many years living in the states. Victor came home first to resume his career a few years ago while Polistico and Castelo will be home after a long time to perform in the concert.
