Juday still a Kapamilya

Has Karylle really turned — or is turning — from Kapuso to Kapamilya?

Guess again.

What’s true is that Judy Ann “Juday” Santos has put a stop to speculations that she’s jumping ober da bakod from ABS-CBN (her original, long-time home) to GMA (where she has been guesting in various shows) by renewing her contract to two more years, from July 2009 when her current contract expires to July 2011.

“It’s good to be home,” said Juday as if she ever left “home,” even as she admitted that there were problems, adding, “pero wala namang problemang hindi naaayos sa magkaka-pamilya.”

In Humingi Ako sa Langit, her new soap which is airing early next year, Juday plays Jane Alcantara, a nurse.

“I’m afraid of blood but I have to overcome my fear for this soap,” said Juday who has been observing nurses and doctors at work at the Ospital ng Maynila as part of her “internalization.”

Other projects lined up for her include a teleserye with boyfriend Ryan Agoncillo, a cooking show and a drama anthology.

Who will be Miss Earth of 2008?

Who will succeed 2007 Miss Earth Jessica Nicole Trisko of Canada?

There are 85 aspirants (who call themselves Environmental Diplomats) from the same number of countries vying for the crown at the (eighth) 2008 Miss Earth grand finals to be held on Sunday, Nov. 9, at Clark Expo Amphitheater, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. Watch the proceedings on ABS-CBN starting at 10 p.m. (aired at a later date in other countries in Asia, Middle East, Oceania, Europe and North America, covered by The Filipino Channel and local stations of participating countries).

As usual, Funfare’s “beauty experts” led by Francis Calubaquib (with Joey Cezeare, Gery Yumping and Felix Manuel who is working as a nurse in New York) have picked their “most likely to win” bets, namely (at random):
