Nothing amuses Marissa del Mar, host of Up Close and Personal (IBC-13, 10 to 10:30 p.m.) more than friends who ask her, “Did you go under the knife or subject yourself to botox? You haven’t aged a bit, and you look the same the last time I saw you!”
Truth is, Marissa hasn’t resorted to anything that drastic to maintain her looks. All she does is remove her makeup after exposing herself to the glare of the klieg lights, clean her face and call it a day. But she admits to one weakness: Lack of exercise. Just like many career women, Marissa’s schedule is too packed she can’t take time out for workouts.
One day, she’s dealing with real estate executives. Another time, she’s meeting with associates in her water-refilling business.
A sedentary lifestyle is no excuse to neglect one’s health, though. Marissa needs all the energy and stamina she can get as host and businesswoman. She also needs to look her best since she faces the cameras and deals with corporate executives.
That’s why she’s raring to share her beauty secret with everyone. She discovered it a year ago. And since then, not just Marissa, but her mom swear they’ve never looked and felt better.
Her fountain of youth, Marissa says, is Fucoidan, a food supplement found in the Okinawa sea vegetable, said to be the Okinawans’ secret of long life.
“It’s called the ‘miracle of the sea,’ and 700 scientific studies have proven its effectiveness. It’s also certified safe,” explains Marissa.
So convinced is she of Fucoidan’s effectiveness she has agreed to be its endorser. She also put up a Wellness Center at the third floor, Anna 1 Building, Bayani Road, Apovai Village, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
With Marissa insisting she has found the fountain of youth, and showing it in her unlined, blemish-free face, shouldn’t we lower those eyebrows a bit?
