Too busy rehearsing action routines with Angel Locsin and Dennis Trillo for their forthcoming TV-series starrer, Asian Treasures, on GMA 7, Robin decided not to throw a birthday bash on Nov. 23 when he turned 35. Baby A. (upper photo with the birthday boy) put one over Robin by inviting him to a meeting at the Paseo Uno of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Imagine how surprised Robin was when he discovered that a sumptuous dinner was prepared for him, with not even a dozen well-wishers present, including Baby A.s daughter Rachel (lower photo) for whom Robin promised to campaign when she runs for representative of the third district of Pangasinan in next Mays elections.
Today, Baby A. and Rachel will preside over the inauguration of a multi-purpose complex with a social hall on a 15-hectare mango plantation in Nancapian, Malasiqui, Pangasinan. The event will be kicked off by a Mass at 7:30 a.m. After breakfast, Rachel will launch her livelihood program where the trainors will present the finished products ready for the market.
I will host a bigger celebration for Robin in the multi-purpose complex, promised Baby A. The mango trees are starting to bear fruits, to be harvested by March or April next year.
As added surprise to Robin, Baby A. contributed to his foundation for his Muslim brothers.
