Why John Lloyd is very happy

Young actor John Lloyd Cruz is happy nowadays because his (real and reel) love life is stable. Real, meaning his relationship with his girlfriend Ciara Sotto is going strong. "Things can never get better," says John Lloyd.

Meanwhile, life with his "reel" girlfriend, fellow ABS-CBN Talent Center Bea Alonzo is going just as strong. John Lloyd is having a blast because their loveteam is now among the most popular to emerge on Philippine television. John and Bea are among the stars in Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay where they play Yuri Orbida and Katrina Argos, respectively. Yuri and Katrina are as different as night and day but are romantically drawn to each other.

John Lloyd claims that he always has a wonderful time with Bea during tapings. "She’s fun to be with and she is very sensible." But when you tease him if reel can be real, John Lloyd replies, "I never thought about it. She’s very young. I don’t know if it’s a preference but I’ve always fallen for older women. I’m not saying it’s a requirement pero malay natin, it’s Bea who’s going to break it."

Bea on the other hand, admits she has a crush on John Lloyd just like any girl her age. "Honestly, nagwa-gwapuhan ako sa kanya. Kinikilig nga ako in my scenes with him but I don’t let it distract me. I’m very focused on my career and studies."

John Lloyd is no newbie when it comes to love teams. He had been paired with Kaye Abad in a number of movies and in Tabing Ilog where he won a Best Actor Award in the Star Awards for Television. A well-deserved win if you ask me.

To John Lloyd and Bea, more power.
Marc and Hazel Ann
Another loveteam to watch is that of Marc Acueza and Hazel Ann Mendoza’s. The two young stars were first paired in Pangako Sa ‘Yo and now, they appear in Berks with other loveteams of ABS-CBN like John Prats and Heart Evangelista.

Marc and Hazel Ann play Oreo and Brooke respectively.

"I really want to make it big as an actor someday," declares Marc. "It’s been my childhood dream. Right now, I’m working hard to learn as much as I can to improve my acting. I would like to be known as a serious dramatic actor someday."

Marc won’t stop at anything to realize his goal someday. Well maybe, except for two things, he says. "First, I don’t think I can go bold. Hindi ako nagsasalita ng tapos pero as of now, I really don’t think I can handle it. Another one is to accept indecent proposals from gays. Even if they offer me lots of money, I don’t think I can do it. I want to be successful out of hard work and dedication to my craft."

I’ll be praying for you, Marc.
Piolo and Judy Ann
Speaking of loveteams, one tandem fans cannot get enough of is that of Piolo Pascual and Judy Ann Santos’. They’re back in Star Cinema’s 10th anniversary offering, Till There Was You.

Directed by Joyce Bernal and written by Dindo Perez and Mel del Rosario, Till There Was You is a story of two very different people who cross paths and eventually find the love that they are looking for.

The movie promises to be different from the past team-ups of Piolo and Judy Ann. For one, the movie has a steamy love scene. "That‘s the most important thing about the movie! May sensitive scenes kami dito!" says laughing Juday. Piolo further teases, "Actually, we saw new things with each other here na hindi pa namin nakikita sa isa’t isa!"
