Katha Chairman Peewee Apostol wrote in last week to inform us of the results of the seventh Katha Awards which covers Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2000. I know that the list comes late but I still do not see any reason to deprive the winners of the chance to let everybody know how their work ranks in the ears of their peers. There is an awards night in sight for the winners of Kathas eighth edition. Ceremonies will be staged by APT Entertainment, Inc. this November. Let us hope this will be the beginning of better things for the organization. The members are now busy screening for this one and you can expect to get the announcement of the nominees any time now. This Katha Awards will give recognition to outstanding recorded works released from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2001.
