CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano cyclist Niño Surban opens his first international campaign this year as he shows action in the 2014 OCBC Cycle Singapore today at the F1 Pit Building.
This is Surban’s second time competing in the said event being the only Filipino participating under the men’s elite criterium race.He settled for sixth place last year.
“I’m more prepared this time compare last year, but I always think that anything can happen during the race,†said Surban who is a mountainbiker but goes into road racer events at times.
Surban is one of the awardees in the recently concluded 32nd SAC-SMC All-Cebu Sports Awards held at the Ayala Center-Cebu's Activity Center, but failed to attend the event as he already left for Singapore.
The national team member dominated several international events including the Singapore 8-hrs Enduro Race, Iskandar Johor Mega Ride in Jojor Malaysia, Yawatahama International Mountainbike Challenge in Japan and in the OCBC Singapore Cycle. (FREEMAN)
