CEBU, Philippines - After a successful bid in the Bohol Marathon last week, Christy Sevilleno-Tutor basked in the limelight anew for topping the 2012 Run For Community Empowerment at the Fuente Osmeña Circle yesterday.
Tutor bagged the 10K women's open title with the time of 49 minutes and 40.61 seconds.
The little known Anarona Laplana finished second in 51:18.50 followed by Maria Fe Ernane in one hour and 6.73 seconds.
In the men's 10K battle, the Cebu-based Kenyans Francis Kakui and Abraham Missos posted a 1-2 finish with the time of 34:21.06 and 34:30.65, respectively. Michael placed third with a 35:59.80 clocking.
Another Kenyan in Douglas Mwiti ruled the 5K run with the time of 16:00.21, just 2.2 seconds ahead of Joel Deloposo as Jory Ycong wound up third in 17:06.27.
Lovely Andrin came out the fastest in the women's 3K battle with the time of 13:41.07 followed by Aiza Suaybaguio (14:39.99 clocking), while Robert Daang (11:33.02), Prince Joeyry Lee (11:42.93) and Ronnie Andrin (11:49.09) occupied the top three sports in the men's division. (FREEMAN)
