CEBU, Philippines - Registration is still ongoing for the 5th Amo Cup or the Albino D. Gothong Memorial Golf Tournament set on June 23 and 24 at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.
Entry fee for the two-day 18-hole tournament is pegged at P2,000. This is open not only to members of the host club, but also those from other clubs.
Each participant will get a Nike golf shirt and a Rudy Project umbrella as tournament giveaways.
At stake for an ace are a car from Hyundai, a Club Car golf cart, and motorcycles from Norkis Trading and Skygo.
The tournament will use the individual medal play format. There will be prizes at stake for the top finishers of classes A, B, and C for club members, the seniors’ division, ladies division, super seniors (65 year old and above), and the open class for the guests.
The lowest handicap for the period of April to June will be used for the tournament.
There will also be the overall lowest gross and overall lowest net award.

This tournament is backed by AD Gothong Manufacturing, Alpa Foundation Inc., University of Cebu, Security Bank, Gothong Southern, Hyundai, and Alpa City suites.
Also supporting the tournament are Marist Royal Holidays Travel and Tours, Chinabank, Ayala Land Premiere, Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp., Club Car, Prudential Guarantee, Norkis Yamaha, Landbank, Carlos A. Gothong Lines, Skygo, Prulife UK, and Petron.
Organizers also announced that mulligans will be sold at P200 per player. This would entitle the player to one free shot each on the front and back nine.
Those who would like to get preferred tee times are advised to sign up early.
