Medellin hosts back-to-back legs of MS Motosuit series

CEBU, Philippines -  The northern Cebu town of Medellin plays host to back-to-back legs of the 2012 MS Motosuit Motocross Series starting off with the 1st Barangay Panugnawan Motocross Invitational today. It serves as the fourth leg of the annual tilt.

On May 22, action shifts to Brgy. Curva for the Congressman Benhur Salimbangon Cup. It is named after the event's chief backer and beloved congressman representing the fourth district of Cebu.

“We’re inserting this race upon the prodding of the local organizers. And with Congressman Salimbangon’s backing, we decided to accommodate it,” said MS Motosuit big bos Lou Ornopia.

The action-packed competition this Tuesday is the fifth leg of this year’s series presented by Petron Philippines in partnership with Due Ek Sam.

Even though it is being staged on a weekday, a lot of riders are still expected to see action and flaunt their sharp riding skills and awe-inspiring aerial moves.

It's truly a busy schedule for Cebuano motocross enthusiasts, with MS Motosuit lining up four legs this summer, two of which were already held last month in different parts of San Remigio.

After the Salimbangon Cup, exciting action swings to the sixth leg dubbed as the Mayor Butch Sepulveda Cup on May 29 in Borbon, Cebu.— (FREEMAN)
