Chiongbian brothers sizzle in STK Festival

CEBU, Philippines - The Chiongbian brothers Frederic Albert and Justin made their presence felt in the Century Tuna 2012 Super Tri Kids (STK) Multi Sports Festival at the Narra Park inside Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City.

Frederic Albert Chiongbian stamped his class in the boys 11-12 category with the time of 17 minutes and 26.65 seconds. He also topped the same age-group during an STK action last month at the Plantation Bay Resort and Spa in Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.

Nathan Nalo placed second with an 18:40.65 clocking, while Luigi Manuel Crisostomo wound up third in 20:37.65.

Frederic Albert's older brother Justin settled for fourth place in the 13-14 division with the time of 27:49.42.

“The STK Multi Sports Festival is an integral part of TRAP’s grassroots program since the event provides triathletes, especially those aged 6 to 15 years old, an opportunity to showcase their talents. Hopefully, we will be able to identify new talents for the PHL team’s developmental pool,” said race director Rick Reyes. — (FREEMAN)
