CEBU, Philippines ,Philippines - The multi-titled Alexis Sy and Jomar Jumapao together with five other promising Cebuano pinbusters are all set to see action in the Tenpin Bowling Association of Makati (TBAM) Open Championship scheduled from April 8 to 15 at E-Lanes in San Juan City.
Sy and Jumapao, both gold medallists in the Asian School Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, will strut their wares in the open category.
They will be joined in their Manila joust by Aui Padawan, Heber Alqueza, Kisha Tesio, Xyrra Cabusas and Samantha Lagkaw of the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA), who will all compete in the youth division.
National Bowling Tour (NBT) director Edgar Marshall Alqueza said this is the first time that the young Cebuano bowlers will take part in the annual tournament sanctioned by the Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC).
Aside from the open and youth classes, the eight-day kegfest also features the mixed open, ladies mixed, men's graded, men's associate, men's seniors, ladies seniors, mixed rookie, youth mixed, youth 18-under and the PBC Youth All-Star categories.
