Wushu clinic this summer at CCSC

CEBU, Philippines - Martial arts enthusiasts will have something to look forward as the Cebu City Sports Center will hold a Wushu Cebu Summer Clinic starting on April 2 at the CCSC oval.

To be handled by the decorated wushu artist Mary Evangeline Agbay, the training is scheduled from 4 to 6 pm on Mondays to Fridays.

Agbay stamped her class during the Huangshan-Anhui Wushu Championships in Huangshan, China in 2007. A year before that, she won silver medal during the World Junior Wushu Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In addition to her shining credential, Agbay was a member of the Philippine Team for five years (2005-2010) under Chinese coach Li Bing.

Wushu is both an exhibition and a full-contact sport derived from traditional Chinese martial arts. It is popularized by Hollywood actor Jet Li, the most famous wushu practitioner in the world.

Aside from the membership fee of P500, registration fee is pegged at P1,500 for one-month training and P2,500 for the whole summer training.
