CEBU, Philippines - Madelyn Carter and Jobert Carolino savored another sweet victory after topping their respective divisions in the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP)-organized “I Run For Integrity” yesterday at The Terraces of Ayala Center-Cebu.
Carter came out the fastest in the women's 12K category with the time of 53 minutes and 33.23 seconds, just milliseconds ahead of Marichu Luterte, who clocked in 53:33.7. Mary Ann Canape wound up third in one hour and 22.91 seconds.
In the men’s side, Carolino made the most out of the absence of Kenyans and other veteran runners to bag the first place honors in 42 minutes and 39.02 seconds. Aldren Agang placed second in 42:52.96 followed by Riez Enriquez in 43:20.19.
The Andrin sisters Lovely Fe and Cherry had a 1-2 finish in the 6K class, with Lovely Fe posting 25:30.71 and Cherry clocking in 26:09.87. Lynle Cardenas bagged the third spot in 26:40.11.
The other Andrin, Jhean, reigned supreme in the girls 3K with the time of 10:42.38. The next two spots were occupied by Crizel Diongson (10:44.67) and Kisha Mae Delechos (11:34.29).
In the boys 3K, Jess Gonzaga took the top spot in 8:48.49 followed by Ronnie Andrin (8:52.27) and Michael Estrera (9:52.14). – (FREEMAN)
