CEBU, Philippines - Former PHL downhiller Wendell Barba made his trip to Cebu worthwhile as he captured the experts title of the 2011 Mayor Edsel A. Galeos Mountainbike Downhill Challenge in Argao, Cebu.
Barba of Dumaguete City conquered the downhill course with ease utilizing his vast experience over Eusebio Ravanes.
Louie Caminero placed third as Victor Bagano and Narciso Fulvio Jr. occupied the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
Bagano, made up from his loss in the experts class by taking away the executive division title against Elwin “Bawing” Bucariza.
Karl Amatong, Joki Gonzales and Jemuel Moreno got the third to fifth places.
Melo Anito topped the beginners class.
Anito defeated Brandon Gabutan for the crown while Louie Yngente finished third followed by Tommy Rojas and Michael Tabasa. (FREEMAN)
